A single from the Atlee directorial, Mersal, with music by AR Rahman, is expected to be released soon. Hema Rukmani, the CEO of Thenandal Studios, took to her Twitter handle to announce this.
The album of the film, which will have five songs, will be released at an audio launch event to be held in Chennai on August 20. It is believed that the filmmakers have made preparations for a grand function, as it marks the 100th production of the Sri Thenandal Films.
It is also rumoured that AR Rahman might be performing live.
The makers of Mersal unveiled the first look posters of the film on June 22, and later, on the same day released another poster.
The posters featured Vijay in two looks — one in which he dons a rural avatar and another, in which he appears in the garb of a magician.
