We had told you that Sri Thenandal Films will be producing an untitled Santhanam-starrer to be directed by Rajesh of Siva Manasula Sakthi fame. Now we hear that Sai Pallavi has been approached for the heroine’s role of this film.
Rajesh says, “I am done with the script and we have approached Sai Pallavi. As she’s busy with Vijay’s Karu, she’s taking time to get back to us. I hope the response is positive.” The filmmaker says he has also approached other heroines for the role.
“Once the shooting of Mersal is complete, the producers will get to work on this film. I’ve conceived it as a commercial entertainer. I hear Mersal will be wrapped up in a week,” he says. The project is special for Rajesh for more reasons than one.
“I had cast Santhanam only as a comedian in my earlier films, but now, I am excited to get an opportunity to direct him as a hero. I have given him a unique character and tailored the story to suit his image.” Rajesh says he knows what Santhanam expects from him, and vice-versa. “We’ll begin shooting from October onwards,” he says.
