Sai Dhanshika is currently working on Kuzhali, a women-centric film that will see her teaming up again with Kabali’s editor Praveen KL and stunt choreographers Anbariv.
The film is directed by debutant Ramanaw Mallam who has previously worked as an associate with Gautham Menon and Cheran.
Talking about the film which is about 40 per cent complete, a source close to the unit says, “Even with all the rights women have, they aren’t free to do what they want. Kuzhali will talk about this and Dhanshika will be seen fighting for them.” Another strong character in the film is the role of Dhanshika’s father, with the makers supposedly trying to bring someone from Bollywood for it.
There’s also said to be another important role for which a popular hero is in talks to be cast. Kuzhali will have a jallikattu sequence in which Dhanshika will be seen taming a bull. “The team have even chosen a bull from Alanganallur in Madurai for this sequence,” the source adds.
