Lyricist Madhan Karky is in the middle of the busiest year of his career. With his songs in films like Rajini’s 2.0 and Baahubali 2 bringing him accolades, his latest track Idhayane in Sivakarthikeyan Nayanthara-starrer Velaikkaran, too, has ended up being a chartbuster.
“Writing a love song has its own challenges. The lyrics should be simple and instantly appealing. The song Idhayane speaks about the moment when two souls unite in a love that banishes darkness. Anirudh has always been firm on giving more clarity to lyrics with his instrumentals,” says Karky.He goes on to add, “Sivakarthikeyan and Anirudh have given many hits in the past. I’m glad to have been able to add to that list.”
