Trisha excited about 'Saamy 2'

The film will mark the return of Vikram as Aarusaamy.

CHENNAI: Actress Trisha on Wednesday shared her excitement over signing the sequel to 2003 Tamil actioner "Saamy". She will reunite with actor Vikram and director Hari for the third time.

"I wouldn't call it a circle but looks like I'm back where I started. On board 'Saamy 2'. Excited," Trisha tweeted.

To be helmed by Hari, the film will mark the return of Vikram as the righteous but foul-mouthed police officer Aarusaamy.

Shibu Thameens will be bankrolling the project which will have Harris Jayaraj's music.

Vikram, who is simultaneously shooting for two Tamil projects, will begin work on "Saamy 2" in the second half of the year.
