The shoot of Vijay Sethupathi’s Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren is almost complete, and now CE learns that Gayathrie of Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kanom fame is part of the film. Director Arumuga Kumar tells us, “She plays a tribal girl, and her portions are already shot. Gayathrie is a fantastic performer and she’ll be seen throughout the film. We’re waiting for Karuppan to hit the screens. Our film will follow once that’s released. We have five more days of shoot left.”

Ask him if Gayathrie is paired opposite Vijay, and he smiles, “That’s the climax of the story. I don’t want to reveal it.” While Vijay Sethupathi plays a tribal leader, this film also has Niharika Konidela and Gautham Karthik in important roles.

“We shot extensively in Andhra Pradesh, besides forests in and around the area. The story revolves around Vijay, who comes to the city.

The second half shifts to the forest. He’ll be seen in eight different looks, and one of them will be a 20-year-old. We had a team of makeup artistes and hair stylists who helped him with the makeover,” he adds.
Gayathrie is waiting for her next release Puriyadha Puthir, a thriller with Vijay Sethupathi, directed by Ranjith Jeyakodi. The film was earlier titled Mellisai. She is currently working on Ula.
