CHENNAI: Actor Jayam Ravi on Wednesday said his trip to Cannes Film Festival is a dream come true moment. His upcoming multi-lingual historic film "Sanghamitra" will be launched at the prestigious festival.

The lead cast along with the makes left to Cannes on Tuesday night.

"Off to Cannes for the launch of 'Sanghamitra'. A dream come true," Ravi tweeted on Wednesday.

The 70th edition of the festival kicks off on Wednesday. It will go on till May 28.

The title of "Sanghamitra", which will be directed by Sundar C, will be unveiled at the festival.

The makers had said in a statement that the film will be made in two parts and will also star Arya and Shruti Haasan.

To be bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Films, the project will be made in Tamil, Telugu and will be dubbed in Hindi.
