Oviya, Vedhika team up with Raghava Lawrence in 'Kanchana 3'

'Kanchana 3' features three heroines. Oviya, Vedhika and a new girl called Nikita have been signed. The project goes on the floors from the last week of October.

The third part of Raghava Lawrence's hit Kanchana series will feature Oviya Helen and Vedhika. 

CHENNAI: Actor-filmmaker Raghava Lawrence starrer horror-comedy "Kanchana 3", the third part in the highly successful "Muni" franchise, will features Oviya, Vedhika and newbie Nikita as the leading ladies, a source said.

"The film features three heroines. Oviya, Vedhika and a new girl called Nikita have been signed. The project goes on the floors from the last week of October," a source from the film's unit told IANS.

Vedhika, who starred in the first part of the franchise, returns with this project.

The first part in the "Muni" franchise released in 2007. The second part was called "Muni 2: Kanchana" and third, which released in 2015, was titled "Kanchana 2".

"It will be a sequel to 'Kanchana 2'. It will star Lawrencce in the lead and he will direct it as well. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be finalised. Sun Pictures will produce the film," the source added.A

Lawrence's last two releases "Motta Siva Ketta Siva" and "Sivalinga" turned out to be duds. He hopes to bounce back with "Kanchana 3".
