MOSCOW: Colombia forward Radamel Falcao said Monday that his national team has a golden chance against England in their upcoming last-16 match in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

On Tuesday, Group H winner Colombia is set to take on England, the runner-up from Group G, reports Efe.

"We have a great opportunity in our hands," Falcao said at a press conference on the eve of the match.

The Monaco forward said the squad under coach Jose Nestor Pekerman is ready, prepared and believes in their possibilities against England.

He added that the team wants to enjoy the match "in a responsible way" and deploy their plan for defeating an English side widely considered one of the favourites of the 2018 World Cup.

"We are looking forward to using our weapons, our capabilities and what Colombia can do tomorrow, given the great talent of the Colombian players," he said.
