Major fire in IIT Madras guts third floor of IC&SR building

A fire broke out on the third floor of the Industrial Consultancy & Sponsored Research building in IIT Madras on Wednesday night, and five fire tenders rushed to the spot to contain the incident. No casualties have been reported.

According to the media page of IIT, the source of the fire has been traced to the NPTEL office, from where people had left 15 minutes before the incident. (Sunish Surendran | EPS)
