Over 200 students hospitalised in Delhi after container gas leak

More than 200 students of a government school in Delhi were hospitalised following a gas leak from a container plant in Tughlakhabad early morning on Saturday. The incident came to light around 7 a.m. when students complained of irritation in the eye.

The gas leak reportedly from a truck nearby led to students being admitted in more than three hospitals. Several of them complained of breathlessness and irritation in the throat.( EPS | Shekhar Yadav)

NDRF personnel were summoned to the depot to control the leak. Fire department officials suspect chloroform leak behind the incident. ( EPS | Shekhar Yadav)
