HYDERABAD: The trailer launch of Shah Rukh Khan’s next, Raees, on Wednesday was a high-tech affair. The Mumbai-based Superstar was in a real time conversation with the media and his fans in Hyderabad through a video-conference at Venkataramana theatre, Kacheguda station road.
“There is a general misconception that Raees means rich in Hindi” SRK said, adding, “It also means someone who is benevolent, giving.and charitable.” Soon after, the trailer of his much-awaited flick Raees, which is slated for a January 25th release, was screened.

After the trailer ended, the screen went blank and a few seconds later SRK was on screen. The crowd went berserk and started chanting his name. In between all this, there was a technical glitch which made the screen go blank again. This led to the crowd booing the organisers until the screen came back on. RJ Chaitu and RJ Priyanka from RED FM who were the hosts from Hyderabad had a tough time taming the crowds. Then people from various cities like Moga, Mumbai, Delhi Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad among others started asking SRK questions. For a question asking why he sported this look in the movie, he replied, “My tailor and make-up artist thought it suited me.”

His witty replies kept the audience wanting for more. In all, it was a fun and one-of-a-kind event that enthralled everyone and demonstrated SRK’s prowess of promoting his films in a quirky manner. The event was organised by UFO Media.
