HYDERABAD: An auto driver who allegedly sexually assaulted his 13-year-old daughter multiple times has been arrested by Hayathnagar police on Saturday. The incident was reported at Kuntloor village in Rangareddy district, located 21 kms away from Hyderabad.A daily wager had lodged a complaint with Hayathnagar police on August 1, stating that her husband raped their elder daughter when she was alone at home.The incident happened on July 27, when the victim was studying in the house and her mother had gone out for work.
Her father called his daughter inside a room and assaulted her sexually.
“On the day of incident, she returned to the house to find her daughter crying in pain and came to know about the rape. The girl also told her that her father had abused her sexually several times in the past,” said inspector J Narender Goud. He said the accused who was absconding has been apprehended on Saturday and on interrogation, he confessed to have raped his daughter. The girl was sent for medical examination on the day of the complaint and the report is awaited. The accused has been charged under Sec 376 of IPC and Secs 5 r/w 6 of POCSO Act and remanded, said the inspector.
