HYDERABAD: A division bench of the Hyderabad High Court on Monday ordered status quo regarding prime land in Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad belonging to AP Film Development Corporation.
The bench of Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice G Shyam Prasad was dealing with an appeal filed by the Telangana government against an order of a single judge who declared that the subject land belongs to private person.

Respondent Ayub Kamaal claimed that his father had purchased 6.37 acres of land from evacuee property auction held in 1960. The Telangana revenue department submitted that the land sold in auction was only 3.37 acres and not 6.37 as claimed by the respondent. After hearing both sides, the bench ordered status quo, and sought counter affidavits from the respondents.
