From our online archive

HYDERABAD: The Awakening of Intelligence, a timeless spiritual classic by Jiddu Krishnamurti, is being relaunched by Krishnamurti Foundation India for the first time in India, since its original publication abroad in 1973. The book sheds light on the predicament of humanity and is of great relevance in these times of sharpening divisions, corruption and deepening material greed.

Over the past five decades, the book has been a source of invaluable exploration for thousands of people across the world, and today it is time for a new generation to discover the timeless teaching of Krishnamurti.

This book contains a collection of a wide range of Krishnamurti’s works, including public speeches, in-depth discussions, dialogues with scientists, professors and religious seekers, held before a variety of audiences across several continents. “The book is relevant to people of all generations as it does not expound any particular philosophy, but rather discusses issues that concern all of us in our everyday lives: the problems of living in a modern, technology-dominated society with its corruption and violence; the individual’s search for security and happiness; and the need for man to free himself from his inner burdens of greed, violence, fear, and sorrow. For a new generation who has not been acquainted with Krishnamurti, this book will open-up an unexplored world of teachings with extraordinary depth,” the Foundation’s spokesperson said.  The book is available on Amazon, Flipkart, and select book stores across the country.
