It was open to poets above the age of 18, living anywhere in the world with National and International categories. The Trust awarded one winner in each category.

Winner for national category is: Barnali Ray-Shukla from Mumbai which was judged by Jon Tribble - poet, professor and managing editor of the Crab Orchard Review (COR) series by Southern Illinois University.
The international category was judged by Mumbai based poet Vinita Agrawal whose winner is Ireland based poet Stephen Byrne who is a chef.

For editor’s choice award journalist and poet Manik Sharma has been selected. Interestingly, the award wasn’t about winning cash prizes, RLP focussed on manuscripts and invited the same by participants. All the three winning manuscripts will be published by the Trust under RLFPA Editions.
