Illegal layout on Hussainsagar FTL demolished

HYDERABAD: A layout which was illegally being developed on the lake bed of Hussainsagar, at Brahmanwadi locality of Begumpet was razed by Town Planning wing of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation on Thursday.

The layout, which was being developed with the support of influential persons including top politicians from TRS, was demolished as it was found to be falling under the Full Tank Level (FTL) of the iconic lake.
GHMC officials said that a 10 acre land near lake’s FTL level was being developed in the name of Lake Town and was reportedly encroached by Pride India Builders without getting corporation’s permission.
The builder laid pucca BT road, pathways, developed greenery and under ground drainage etc in the unauthorised layout.

As per the instructions of mayor, Bonthu Rammohan, Town Planning officials and staff rushed to the site and demolished the structures, damaged the laid road, walls, hoarding’s of the builder. They later sealed the layout and locked the gates.
