HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) has taken up various measures to avoid drinking water woes during summer.
Water board managing director M Dana Kishore has announced a Summer Action Plan last week and nominated special officers to oversee it. Under the plan, `5.82 crore has been sanctioned for about 441 works.

He instructed the special officers to inspect identified areas for inadequate water supply, low pressure, pollution and see that problems are rectified. He also instructed the officials to ensure that all tenders for sanctioned works under SAP are finalised by March 15 and works completed within a month. They should see that all the O&M managers (Engg) and deputy general managers (Engg) inspect their areas daily and submit reports to Head Office.
To know the ground problems, Dana Kishore is inspecting various divisions and interacting with locals.
