HYDERABAD: Three officials involved in Miyapur land scam and accused of possessing illegal assets surrendered before ACB court on Thursday following cancellation of their bail order by High Court.
The three accused — Rachakonda Srinivasa Rao, suspended joint sub-registrar of Kukatpally, T Ramesh Chandra Reddy, suspended joint sub-registrar of Medchal and Mohammed Yousuf, suspended joint sub-registrar, were booked for amassing assets disproportionate to their known sources of income and were arrested by ACB.
DSP, City Range, ACB J Ashok Kumar said as per HC order, the three have surrendered before ACB court on Thursday. The court remanded them to judicial custody till November 29. The ACB court had earlier granted bail to the accused and they were let off. Following this, the ACB officials filed a petition before the HC for cancellation of their bail order.
