Police constable, four others arrested for extorting money from brothel

HYDERABAD: An armed reserve police constable working in Hyderabad along with his four associates have been arrested by Medipally police on charges of cheating and extortion of money from a brothel. 
The police said accused also include an MD managing director of training institute in SR Nagar, owner of a travels agency and two police job aspirants.G Sivanand Swamy (23), a resident of Peerzadiguda lodged a complaint with the police stating that one M Kiran Kumar claiming to be sub-inspector of police working in task force and four others visited his house and threatened to arrest him for running a brothel. 

They took `8,800 from the purse of Swamy’s wife and also withdrew `35,000 from his bank account using a debit card and were demanding `2 lakh.Based on his complaint, the Medipally registered a case of cheating and extortion and probed. 
Upon arresting the accused, the police seized a police uniform, `63,000 cash, six mobile phones, one bike and a toy pistol and remanded them to judicial custody.
