HYDERABAD: Medipally sub-inspector J Venkat Reddy who allegedly ill-treated three minors including a girl was issued charge memo and also transferred to another police station by Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat.

The incident was reported on September 14, when the three minors went to Medipally police station to find whereabouts of their father, who was called to the police station in connection with a complaint lodged by his wife.

When they approached police, he allegedly made them sit for several hours in the police station and were let to go home only in the night. On receiving information, Bhagwat asked Malkajgiri DCP to submit a report. Following the report, he issued charge memo to the SI and transferred him to another police station. Confirming this, Bhagwat said, “Based on the report, the charge memo has been issued.”
