NEW DELHI: Veteran film actors Waheeda Rahman and Mammootty would be the chief guest at the opening and the closing ceremonies respectively of the 40th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) opening on November 23 at Goa.

Actors Kabir Bedi and Divya Dutta would be compering the opening ceremony which would be attended by Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ambika Soni.

The Indian Panorama would open with Paltadcho Manis (Konkani) by Laxmikant Shetganokar and Dot in for Motion by (English) Anirban Datta.

The Indian Panorama would comprise 26 feature films and 18 nonfeature films. These include the films such as Shob Charitro Kalponik (Bengali), Kaminey (Hindi), Harishchandrachi Factory (Marathi), Ijjodu (Kannada) , Pasanga (Tamil), Kutty Srank (Malayalam) and Haat The Weekly Bazaar (Rajasthani).
