Ibnlive

The Delhi Police on Sunday questioned former Haryana minister of state for Home Gopal Kanda in connection with the Geetika Sharma suicide case. Kanda is the owner of the MDLR Group where Geetika was an employee.

Kanda was arrested on Saturday morning after he surrendered at the Ashok Vihar Police Station in New Delhi. He was sent to seven days police custody.

The Delhi Police later took Kanda to his MDLR office in Gurgaon for further investigations into the case and to gather electronic evidence.

Geetika, who committed suicide earlier this month, blamed Kanda and another senior MDLR official, Aruna Chadha for her extreme step. In her suicide note, she accused the two of continued mental harassment and torture after she quit her job at MDLR.

Kanda, who went absconding the day he was asked to join investigations, has not yet revealed where he was for so many days.
