Punjab revenue minister BikramSingh Majithia today demanded an apology from Congress leaderRahul Gandhi for his remark that 7 out of 10 youths in thestate have a drug problem.
"No Congress leader has ever apologised to Punjabis sofar for the anti-Sikh riots of 1984," Majithia said addingthat Rahul should apologise to Punjabi community for"deliberately tarnishing" the image of Punjabi youth.
Talking to the reporters here at a mass marriage function,Majithia said "it exposed the immaturity level of a person,who was being propagated by the Congress as 'candidate' forthe the post of prime minister."
Rahul at a function of Panjab University in Chandigarhrecently had claimed that seven out of ten youths in the stateare drug addicts which later sparked a row.
