IED found at residence of former BJP president

Chaoba is the convenor of the State Election Management Committee of BJP in Manipur and his son is a former senior police officer.

IMPHAL: An improvised explosive device (IED) was today found at the gates of the residence of Manipur BJP leader and former Union Minister Th Chaoba at Utlou in Bishnupur district.
    
The IED was discovered by the locals and was later recovered by security forces, a police officer said.
    
Chaoba is the convenor of the State Election Management Committee of BJP in Manipur and his son is a former senior police officer.
    
No outfit has claimed responsibility for the act as yet.
