'CLAT 2016 results released before Sunday mid-night not official'

CLAT 2016 results which were out on Sunday before mid night were not official, say the authorities.

BENGALURU: The results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2016 which were out on Sunday before mid night were not official, say the authorities of the CLAT 2016 convening university.

Speaking to TNIE Prof Paramjit S Jaswal, vice chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law which is the convener for CLAT 2016 said, that the university had uploaded the results only after mid-night on Sunday. "We have announced the results as per the schedule on May 23 and the results which were accessed before mid night on Sunday were not official," he said.

On Sunday around 9pm there were rumors about the declaration of CLAT 2016 results and some candidates started even contacting media offices with their scores. "The results were on test through the service provider and during that time might be for half an hour the results were accessed through Google. But, we did not declare the results on Sunday," clarifies VC.

However, he confirmed that the results are now available on CLAT website and they are the official results. And the general result list will reach the concerned Law universities by Tuesday afternoon.
