BSF DG briefs Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi on Samba attack

A senior BSF official said it is a matter of investigation how the terrorists reached the Nagrota army base.

NEW DELHI: BSF Director General KK Sharma on Tuesday briefed Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi on the anti-infiltration operation in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
    
Four BSF personnel including DIG BS Kasana and a policeman were injured in a blast at the site.
    
The blast took place at the encounter site after elimination of three infiltrating terrorists in Chamliyal forward area along the international border in Samba district.
 
The BSF is learnt to have told the Home Secretary that its anti-infiltration operations along the International Border are conducted on a regular basis and the terrorists who hit the army’s 16 Corp in Nagrota might have been hiding in the Valley.
