Indian Army guns down militants in J-K's Keran sector

Four militants were killed today, during an infiltration bid in Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir, says the Indian Army.

SRINAGAR: Four militants were today killed as Army foiled an infiltration bid in Keran sector in Kupwara district of north Kashmir.

A defence spokesman said that a group of militants tried to infiltrate from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector but troops foiled their bid.

In the subsequent exchange of fire, four militants were killed, the spokesman said.

Search operations are on in the area.
