Man shot dead by militants in J-K's Baramulla district 

The militants fired upon Mohammad Ashraf Mir at Harwan in Bomai area of Sopore township of the north Kashmir district, a police official said.

SRINAGAR: Militants tonight shot dead a person and injured his wife in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir,  police said.

The militants fired upon Mohammad Ashraf Mir at Harwan in Bomai area of Sopore township of the north Kashmir district, a police official said.

He said Mir and his wife were critically injured in the firing.

While Mir succumbed to his injuries, his wife has been rushed to a hospital, he said.

Further details are awaited, the official said.
