AMRITSAR: A cop was injured on Sunday when angry mob pelted stones on police party at Joda Phatak where a ghastly train accident claimed 60 lives on Friday.

Police sources said that people were agitating and had blocked the railway tracks.

When a police party was trying to clear the tracks, the protestors started pelting stones at them.

Local people are agitated due to police and administration's lax handling of the situation after the accident.

The agitators demands included tracing missing persons, adequate compensation for victims families and action against organizers of Dusshera function, and authorities who gave permission for the function to be held near tracks.
