LUCKNOW:  After BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath government declared the recently released film ‘The Kerala Story’ tax-free in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. The CM made an announcement on Twitter.

Moreover, as per the CM secretariat, Yogi will watch the film along with his cabinet colleagues at a special screening to be organised at Lok Bhawan on Friday, May 12. It may be recalled that during the 2019 Kumbh in Prayagraj, Yogi along with his cabinet had watched ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, after taking a holy dip at Sangam.

Last year, the UP CM had also watched Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ at a special screening after declaring the movie tax-free in the state. Before the state government’s announcement to make the film produced by Vipul Amrut Shah and directed by Sudipto Sen, tax-free, UP BJP secretary Abhijat Mishra had shown it to 100 girl students in Lucknow recently.
