It will be a Christmas special for the makers of Hebbuli with its audio release planned for December 25 at a grand event to be held in Davangere.Music director Arjun Janya has given more than 100 live performances in his career, but this will be the first time he will be doing so for this Sudeep’s movie directed by S Krishna. Arjun has worked with the star in five movies so far.The music director, along with his team, is busy rehearsing for the mega show. We catch him at one such rehearsal.
“The three-and-half hour event will be a teamwork of more than 30 members including the musicians and singers,” he says. “As technicians, we are mostly kept behind the scenes. I believe that performing live helps us connect with the audience, which is now a trend everywhere.”
The event will start with a dedication to the star. “I will perform a medley of old songs that I composed for him,” says Arjun. “Then Vijay Prakash and Rajesh Krishnan will sing a few songs, again from Sudeep’s films,” he says. The event will end with songs from Hebbuli.
This will be the first time in Sandalwood that Rajesh Krishnan and Vijay Prakash have sung a song together and it is for this movie. Ravichandran and Sudeep are playing brothers with Rajesh and Vijay singing for the two.
Arjun says the Hebbuli music is meant to appeal to the masses. “It is completely a different
album when compared to other Sudeep’s films, this album is totally modern,” he says. “The album has a Reggae song, one with pathos and a classic song that blends with EDM,” says Arjun.
Hebbuli has five songs and joining Rajesh and Vijay is singer Anuradha Bhat. Bollywood singers - Siddarth Basrur, Arman Malik, Shaan and Shreya Ghoshal have rendered their voices for the album.
