Darshan steps into Tarun’s Chowka

Challenging Star to play an important role in the multistarrer that brings in 25 technicians

A Sharadhaa

Tarun Sudhir’s directorial debut Chowka gets bigger with Darshan stepping in. Though the production house remains tight-lipped about this development, we hear that the Challenging Star had agreed to be part of this film for Tarun.

Darshan

Darshan’s father Thoogudeepa Srinivas and Tarun’s father Sudhir were popular villains of yesteryear, and both have worked together in many films. Their friendship continues with their children too.
In Chowka, Darshan will play an important character and, more interestingly, be part of a major action sequence. This is sure to bring cheer to his fans. Apparently the actor completed a day’s shoot at Minerva Mills on Monday, but did not work on Tuesday to observe a day of mourning for stuntmen Uday and Anil. The shoot is likely to continue with Darshan from today.

The film, being the 50th made under Dwarakish pictures, has been in the news for many reasons. Chowka has an impressive star cast including Vijay Raghavendra, Prem, Diganth  and Prajwal Devaraj with Priyamani, Deepa Sannidhi, Aindrita Ray and Bhavana playing the female leads.
Another highlight of Tarun’s debut will be the 25 technicians for the film, a first in Indian cinema. Tarun considers them off-screen heroes and has brought in five art directors - Arun Sagar, Mohan B Kere, Ravi Sante Haiklu, Shivakumar and Hosmane Murthy Editor KM Prakash.

Gurukiran, V Harikrishna, Arjun Janya, Anup Seelin and Sambram V Sridhar have been roped in for the music. AP Arjun, Simple Suni, Diganth, Anil Kumar, AV Chintan and Yoganand have written the dialogues. Along with Sudhakar S Raj, who is currently shooting Darshan’s scenes, the movie has camerawork by Satya Hegde, S Krishna, Shekhar Chandru and Santhosh Rai Pathaje.
Darshan’s appearance is only a boost and is like
icing on the cake.
The film is nearing completion and the makers are gearing up for a mega audio launch.
