Dana kayonu set to become a cult classic

A Sharadhaa

Seems like director Yogaraj Bhat has managed to hit the right note and win over the family audience with his latest film, Dana Kayonu. The director and the entire team including Vijay, Rangayana Raghu, Biradar and Priyamani are basking in the success of the film, that’s now set to become a cult classic. Ask the director whether animals in his film are the lucky mascots and he replies,“I don’t want to probe it but I love animals  and enjoy having them in my film.”

Talking from the audience point of view,  Bhatru says that emotions always win hearts, especially when it is authentically said. “Humour is fleeting but emotions stay for a longer period, and when that happens the movie becomes a cult classic. I am happy to have a attempted a new genre with Dana Kayonu and it is an achievement when people recieve a new kind of cinema,” he says.

The success of Dana Kayonu has only pushed Bhatru to put more effort into his future projects. “‘Work hard’ is the mantra with each film. Though filmmaking has been a learning process, all it matters is how focused we are,” says Bhatru, who also hints at a Dana Kayonu sequel.

“If at all I do a sequel, it is only out of public demand, and not immediately. Of course, it is always a challenge to bring the human-animal bond in films but it is nice and I will try to fulfil our audience wishes,” he says.
