Preetham Gubbi-Duniya Vijay combo in the 2011 movie Johnny Mera Naam was well loved, also for the romcom subject that was presented well. The film had Ramya playing the female lead.Six years after, Preetham has come up with an interesting sequel to this titled Johnny Johnny Yes Papa. Vijay will play the lead again and it will be made under Duniya Talkies, a production house owned by the actor.
The director who is almost done with the script is readying to start shooting from June end. Preetham says that he will be presenting Vijay for Gen X. “My hero from Johhny Social Service Centre will now be upgraded to Johnny.com,” he says. “It will only add to the fun in Johhny Johnny Yes Papa. As of now, I am working on composing music for it along with V Harikrishna. Meanwhile, the the set is being prepared with a huge one planned at Nelamangala, where fifty per cent of the shoot will be take place, with artwork done by Mohan B Kere.”
Along with Vijay will be Rangayana Raghu and Sadhu Kokila. “Rest of the cast will be finalised soon and the heroine will be chosen once I finalise the script because then I will have a clear picture as to who will fit the bill,” he says.
Vijay, who is gearing up for the release of Maasthi Gudi, is currently shooting for Kanaka. The actor will then head to the sets of NTR’s film, Lava-Kusa, his first Telugu outing after which he will join the sets of Johnny Johnny Yes Papa.
