Visitors relish N K’taka  dishes

Literature enthusiasts at the meet had a taste of North Karnataka dishes here on Friday. Over three lakh Khadak Rotis collected from households from around the district are the highlight of the festival. Caterers from Hubballi have served more than 60,000 enthusiasts at the lunch and dinner on the first day of the literary festival. They served kadak roti, shenga chatni, godi huggi, madli, Mysore Pak, pulav, brinjal curry, rice, sambar, pickle and several other dishes. Babulal, head of catering service from Hubballi, told Express, “Our aim is to ensure people get the best taste of North Karnataka food. kadak roti, capsicum curry, Madli (a sweet), bisibele bath, raita, chatni, pickle and other dishes would be served on the second day.
