BENGALURU: The Legislature committee on lake encroachments has said that it will publish the complete list of lake encroachments in Bengaluru Urban and Rural areas in December.
Committee chairperson K B Koliwad on Wednesday released some details about the extent of lake encroachments, rajalakuves, buffer zones and lake bunds. Koliwad said that all the details had been compiled and data was fully ready. “In Bengaluru Urban and Rural areas, the total extent of encroachment around lakes is 10,787 acres and roughly estimated to be worth around `1.5 lakh crore,” he said.
