BENGALURU: Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences had to tender an unconditional apology to a vendor providing software services to university after the company issued a legal notice. RGUHS officials had given a negative opinion to Bangalore University about the firm. Recently, BU had called tenders to hire a software company for assistance in exams.

“Both the vice-chancellor and registrar were not present and the deputy registrar sent a reply after verifying records. The university had not received any communication about that company being cleared in the CID investigation.

This was not intentional and we have replied to the legal notice sent by the company,” explained Dr Ramesh, in-charge vice-chancellor of RGUHS. However, in the reply to the notice, RGUHS even mentioned that Bangalore University should not have issued a copy of the report given by RGUHS to a third party under RTI.
