MUDIGERE:Mudigere Tahsildar Nandakumar said a woman died and two houses partially collapsed due to heavy rains in the taluk.
On Wednesday evening, Bhagyamma (33) of Mavinakere village in Kalasa hobli was returning home after day’s work when a tree uprooted by gusty winds fell on her injuring her. She was admiited to a Mangaluru hospital where she passed away, sources said.
Two houses belonging to Malemane Gowramma and Chandrappa collapsed partially due to incessant rains.
