K’taka one of most attractive investment locations: Minister

BENGALURU: Karnataka has received industrial investment proposals worth `1,47,625 crore in nine months, from January to September 2017.Commenting on the report, Industries Minister R V Deshpande said, “In the past two decades, economic and administrative reforms have transformed Karnataka from being an inward looking state-based economy into a globalized market-based economy, now identified as one of the most attractive investment locations globally.” He added that Karnataka accounts for a significant share in exports as well as the total FDI that flows into India.

Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industries President K Ravi told Express, “The cosmopolitan nature of Bengaluru in addition to a significant size of expat population lends it an advantage, making it a preferred destination for companies ranging from Fortune 500 to startups.” That apart, the quality of manpower is also high, making it the most preferred destination, he said.
