BENGALURU: A 63-year-old doctor was arrested by CID in a property dispute case relating to renowned taxidermist Edwin Joubert Van Ingen. Dr. N. Chandrashekhar, Director of Aadithya Adhikari Hospital in Mysuru, was arrested for allegedly aiding Michael Floyd Eshwar to usurp the property of Ingen. As per CID officials, Eshwar allegedly had fake documents which showed him to be Ingen’s son.

Within four months, he transferred Ingen’s property worth `200 crore to his name. In March 2013, just a day before his death, Ingen lodged a complaint saying that he tried tried to take over his property. Eshwar approached the High Court, and asked for the FIR to be quashed. The HC ruled in Eshwar’s favour, but also asked the State to probe the matter. The CID then submitted a report to the SC, which then directed the probe to continue. After this, CID found Eshwar guilty.
