SPC scheme in 36 more schools

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state police has decided to extend the Student Police Cadet (SPC) programme, a training programme for students, to 36 more schools in the state. The SPC units will start functioning there from the coming academic year.
The decision was taken following a meeting with the Education Department. State police chief Loknath Behera, in a press statement, said each school is allotted `2 lakh for the programme. SPC is a two-year training programme aimed at developing students as responsible citizens that respect the law, not be enforcement but naturally.

The listed schools include Government HSS, Vattiyoorkavu, Government Girls HSS, Malayinkeezhu, Government VHSS, Kallara, A V Government HS, Thazhava, Government HSS Ayyakoyikkal, Government HS and VHSS, Kulakkada, Government HSS, Chithara, Government HSS, Ottakkal, Government HSS, Thenkamam, Adoor, Government HSS, Paravoor, Government HSS, Ramapuram, Kayamakulam Government Boys HSS, Government HS, Adimali, Government Boys HSS, Vaikom, Government Medical College HSS, Arpookkara, Government HSS, Kadayiruppu, Government HS, Karakurissi, MNKM Government HSS, Pulappatta, Government HSS, Thirkkavu, Government HSS, Neelashwaram, Government HSS, Avala, Government HSS, Madappally, Government HSS, Korome, Government HSS, Chittariparambu, AKG Smaraka Government HSS, Paralasserry, Government HSS, Wayakkara, Government HSS, Madikkayi, Government HS, Badadukka and others.
