KOTTAYAM: The ‘lotus’ that blossomed in Kerala with the victory of BJP MLA O Rajagopal will be in full bloom in the next Kerala Assembly elections, claimed BJP Parliamentary Board member and Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday.

“People of Kerala are fed up with the ‘Cooperation in Delhi and operation in Kerala’ style of politics of the UDF and LDF, which are two sides of the same coin. The people are craving a change,” said Naidu, after inaugurating the BJP State Council meeting in Kottayam.
The BJP will break the unholy nexus of UDF and LDF and emerge as Kerala’s leading party in the next election, said Naidu, who also condemned the ‘intolerant, murderous politics of CPM’ and dared it to fight the saffron party politically and ideologically.

“The entire nation is watching what CPM is doing in Kerala. As many as 18 persons were killed after Pinarayi Vijayan came to power. As we do not believe in violence, you (CPM) will get it back politically. If you have the guts, fight us politically and ideologically,” challenged Naidu.
Exhorting party cadres in the state to apprise people of the welfare and development projects of the Narendra Modi-led NDA Government at the Centre, Naidu said, “The atmosphere favours the

BJP. The PM has become a household name. Now, it is our party cadres’ responsibility to reach out to the people. They will welcome you.”

BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan presided over the meet, in which BJP central leader Nalin Kumar Kateel, O Rajagopal MLA, national executive members C K Padmanabhan, V Muraleedharan, national committee member P K Krishnadas, former presidents K V Sreedharan master, P S Sreedharan Pillai and others were also present.
