KOZHIKODE: Celebrity break-ups never fail to make news. No celebrity in the recent past has managed to stay away from the prying eyes of cameras when divorce petitions are moved in courts. But for actor Surabhi Lakshmi, who walked away with the Best Actress title at the National Film Awards this year for her performance in Malayalam movie ‘Minnaminungu’, there wasn’t any media glare when she recently parted ways with her husband Vipin Sudhakar after agreeing to an uncontested divorce petition before family court here which granted the decree of divorce to the couple.
Their divorce became public only when Vipin confirmed it through a Facebook post. After posting a selfie with Surabhi on his Facebook page, he wrote: “Our last selfie. We are divorced. From now on, we’ll be good friends.”Similarly, Surabhi broke the news in an FB post.
“This is another major turning point in my life. For over a year now, I have been estranged from my husband Vipin Sudhakar. Today we have become legally separated. We decided to part ways because of a lot of reasons. We took the decision together and we respect each other. I expect your continued support,” she said.
