KOCHI: The Ernakulam Central Police on Wednesday afternoon conducted raids at the Maharaja’s College hostel here and recovered weapons including swords,iron rods and wooden sticks.
The police action came in the wake of the complaint lodged by the college principal after Resident Tutors at the hostel found the arms stored in one of the hostel rooms.
“A complaint was lodged after dangerous weapons were found from a hostel room,” said principal, N L Beena.
According to the sources, two Resident Tutors found the weapons on Tuesday. The hostel had closed on March 30.
