THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There are no hurdles for A K Saseendran of the NCP to return to the Cabinet, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said. Responding to questions during the post-Cabinet briefing on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said he alone couldn’t take a decision on the NCP MLA’s return to the ministerial berth.
“It’s a decision to be taken collectively,” he said. With P S Antony Commission finding that the authenticity of the audio clip that led to Saseendran’s resignation has not been proven, the NCP may demand Saseendran’s re-induction. Last week when NCP minister Thomas Chandy resigned, the party had indicated that Saseendran will come back to the Cabinet if he comes out clean. Meanwhile, UDF leaders have already come out against Saseendran’s come back to the Cabinet.
