SABARIMALA: The total revenue earnings of Lord Ayyappa temple here during the ongoing pilgrimage till Sunday achieved an all-time high of Rs 41.96 crore. The income shows an increase of Rs 8.86 crore over the corresponding period of the 2016-2017 pilgrimage season. Of the total income, the income from the sale of aravana prasadam stood at Rs 18.17 crore during the period under review. Hundi collection came to Rs 14.30 crore during the period.
The income from the sale of appam prasadam stood at Rs 3.06 crore and the earnings from neyyabhishekam offerings came to Rs 35.07 lakh. The income from the accommodation facilities stood at Rs 1.06 crore.
