Jawan killed in mishap cremated

ALAPPUZHA: The body of the Assam Rifles jawan who died in an accident at Thamsanqa Seven Sector in Nagaland was cremated with full military honours at Bharanikavu near here on Tuesday. Brahmmaseelan, 53, of Pushpamangalam, Bharanikavu, was killed in an accident on September 30.

The military truck in which Brahmmaseelan was travelling fell into a gorge at Georgeghat. He was travelling to the camp at Thamsanqa from Dimapur with canteen material. The driver, a Haryana native, sustained serious injuries in the accident.   Lilly, a native of Ukhrul in Manipur, is Brahmmaseelan’s wife. He is survived by daughter Baby Bliss, who is studying in New Delhi.
