THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The United Petroleum Front (UPF), which constitutes three national fuel traders' associations, has announced a nationwide 24-hour shut down of fuel stations on October 13. It will be followed by an indefinite closure of purchase and sales from October 27 to protest against non-fulfillment of the traders' demands by the public sector oil marketing companies. UPF constitutes the Federation of All India Petroleum Traders (FAIPT), All India Petroleum Dealers Association (AIPDA) and the Consortium of Indian Petroleum Dealers (CPID) and represents over 54,000 fuel dealers across the country.
