KOCHI: The Confederation of Indian Communist and Democratic Socialists (CICDS), a grouping of splinter Communist outfits in various states, on Friday organised a meeting in Kochi in connection with the 150th anniversary of Das Kapital and centenary celebration of October Revolution. A seminar on Communism titled ‘The Ideology and Organisation’ was also held.
“The CPM is turning a blind eye to the reality India is dominated by fascist powers. They are ignoring the real threats posed by fascism and pretending they are the real anti-fascist force,” said CICDS general secretary C P John. He said the confederation will uphold the values of real Communism. “The CICDS has become the real flag bearers of Communist values,” he said.M R Chandrasekaran, who translated Das Kapital into Malayalam, was honoured at the function. CICDS chairman Ajay Rawat presided over the meeting.
